HOTSON Architecture Inc. is an architectural firm based in Vancouver, BC. formed in 2013 and led by Kai Hotson, we are a full-service design firm of 9 talented architects and designers. The small-scale team enables Kai to oversee each project attentively with his involvement from beginning to end.

We thrive on developing client-specific solutions to challenges and complexities, from small to large scales. We explore various parameters such as the physical site, context, and programmatic opportunities for each project, to create unique solutions for our clients. We approach each project’s distinct challenges with a fresh perspective, whether they be programmatic, economic, or simply how to make an amazing space. Project constraints are assets to help our design process, and to negotiate successful outcomes with our clients.

Our design process includes exploration to find the right fit, with the goal of creating an efficient, modern, constructible, and elegant design solution. To accomplish this, we work using hand drawing, digital sketch modeling, and also physical modeling to help visualize and illustrate our design concepts as a means to communicate our design ideas to you.
