BBA Office Renovation
An interior renovation for a small accounting firm within a new office tower in downtown Vancouver. The project required efficient planning to maximize the uses in the compact “shell” space, while also creating flexible and high-quality interior design.
Working around with the inefficient floor plate with large concrete columns and curved facade, the design provides an open and welcoming reception area with integrated banquette seating. The long reception desk creates a focal point and anchors the front of house entry area. The adjacent meeting room doubles as staff breakout space with large sliding doors, allowing the room to open up into the reception area for informal gathering and conversations. Private offices are formed in a block, which creates a clearly defined buffer between the open-concept workspace and the reception and back of house spaces.
The material palette of wood flooring, wood slat wall elements, as well as neutral whites and greys aim to provide a timeless design.
